In short: the maps may be used in any number of presentations, commercial or internal. The template files themselves may not be resold or redistributed.

You may

• Use the templates in unlimited presentations, for yourself or for clients.
• Modify the maps: recolor, relabel, delete shapes or change the type.
• Use them in commercial work: business presentations, proposals, investor presentations, board reports, sales material, quarterly and annual reports, grant applications, teaching materials and internal documents.
• Include them in a presentation you deliver or hand to a client, including on a paid engagement.

You may not

• Resell, sublicense or redistribute the template files themselves, whether as-is or modified, whether alone or as part of a template bundle.
• Publish the files on a template marketplace, stock site or file-sharing service.
• Claim authorship of the templates.

The data

The boundaries come from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2025 Cartographic Boundary Files. They are a work of the US federal government and are in the public domain: no permission is needed to use them, and no attribution is legally required.

The Census Bureau is credited on the source slide of every template regardless, so that anyone inheriting the file can see where the geography originated.

No warranty

The templates are provided as-is. Boundaries reflect the Census Bureau's 2025 release and administrative boundaries change; check the source release if a specific line matters to your work. Nothing here is legal or surveying advice.
