Content Policy

Version 1.2 · Last updated 13 October 2026 · Applies to geoslides.com

1. What this policy covers

GeoSlides sells downloadable map templates. We do not host content supplied by visitors, we do not operate any content-generation feature, and nothing a visitor types is transmitted to us (see Terms section 2.3). This policy therefore does two things: it sets the standard our own material may not be used for, and it explains how to report misuse and what we do about it.

It applies to everyone who reaches this site, whether or not you have bought anything.

2. What the Service does and does not do

What we provide: editable .pptx map templates, built from public boundary data — U.S. Census Bureau files in the public domain, and United Kingdom boundaries from the Office for National Statistics under the Open Government Licence — by our own software, and sold as a one-time download. Terms section 2.6 sets out how they are produced.

What we do not provide, and have never provided:

  • no text-to-speech or any audio or voice feature;
  • no image or video generation;
  • no chat, assistant or prompt box;
  • no uploads, comments, message boards or user profiles;
  • no AI model is used to generate, screen or review anything.

3. Content standards and prohibited categories

You must not use the Service, or anything obtained from it, to create, distribute, promote or facilitate any of the following:

  • Sexual content. Pornographic or otherwise sexually explicit material, and any sexual content involving minors.
  • Violent or graphic content. Material that depicts, glorifies or incites violence against people or animals.
  • Hate speech. Material that attacks, dehumanises or incites hatred against people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, disability, age, gender or sexual orientation.
  • Content unsafe for children. Any child sexual abuse material (CSAM), and any material that sexualises or endangers minors.
  • Deepfakes and impersonation. Material that falsely presents a real person or organization as saying or doing something they did not, including synthetic or manipulated depictions created to deceive.
  • Infringement. Material that infringes copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property, privacy or publicity rights.

A note on scope, stated plainly: the templates are maps of the United States. They contain no photographs, no people and no media, so most of the categories above could not be produced from them at all. We publish the standard anyway, because it governs any use of material obtained from us.

4. Content moderation

We run no automated content moderation, and this is a factual statement rather than a gap: the Service has no user-generated content to moderate. No visitor can upload, post, generate or transmit content through this site. There is no content queue, no review pipeline and no user-content store, because no such content exists on the platform.

Moderation here is therefore reactive. If you report a misuse of our files (section 5), a human reviews it and acts under section 6. We do not use any AI model to make that decision.

5. Reporting a violation

Email hello@geoslides.com with the subject line Content report. Please include:

  • the URL or file name concerned, and where you encountered it;
  • what you saw, and when;
  • how we can reach you, if you want a reply.

Anyone may report, and you do not need to be a customer. We acknowledge reports within 2 business days, and where a report is substantiated we aim to act within 5 business days. We treat reporters' identities as confidential to the extent the law allows.

For a copyright or trademark complaint, include enough detail for us to identify the material and the right you say has been infringed.

6. Enforcement actions

Where we substantiate a breach of this policy, or of Terms section 9, we may take any of the following, according to severity and whether it is a repeat:

  • issue a warning and require the conduct to stop;
  • terminate the license granted in Terms section 5 for the files concerned;
  • revoke outstanding download links issued for the order concerned;
  • decline further service to the person responsible;
  • report the matter to law enforcement or another competent authority where the conduct may be criminal, and cooperate with lawful requests.

Severe cases result in immediate termination without a prior warning. Child sexual abuse material is one: we will terminate access and report it to the relevant authorities. There is no version of that outcome in which we give notice first.
