Licence

Short version: use the maps in as many presentations as you like, commercially or internally. Do not resell the template files themselves.

You may

• Use the templates in unlimited presentations, for yourself or for clients.
• Modify the maps — recolour, relabel, delete shapes, change the type.
• Use them in commercial work: proposals, investor decks, sales material, reports, training and internal documents.
• Include them in a presentation you deliver or hand to a client, including on a paid engagement.

You may not

• Resell, sublicense or redistribute the template files themselves, whether as-is or modified, whether alone or as part of a template bundle.
• Publish the files on a template marketplace, stock site or file-sharing service.
• Claim authorship of the templates.

The data

The boundaries come from the U.S. Census Bureau's 2025 Cartographic Boundary Files. They are a work of the US federal government and are in the public domain: no permission is needed to use them, and no attribution is legally required.

We credit the Census Bureau anyway, on the source slide of every deck, because it helps whoever inherits the file understand where the geography came from.

No warranty

The templates are provided as-is. Boundaries reflect the Census Bureau's 2025 release and administrative boundaries change; check the source release if a specific line matters to your work. Nothing here is legal or surveying advice.
